“You’ve got the kind of lovin’ I need constantly”

Last night we went to go see The Dead Weather play. And let me tell you, it was fucking BADASS. Even the openers were amazing, Screaming Females. The chick looks like she is 12 but has this out of control voice and SHREDS like none other.
Jack White and Alison Mosshart had amazing chemistry on stage. As well as the rest of the band, Jack Lawrence and Dean Fertita.
Roaring through their set, you could tell they were giving it all in every song. The crowd was feeding off their energy and after the show, most couldn’t get over their dynamic.
Overhearing conversations, the most used words to describe the show were “badass”, “fucking incredible” and “holy shit.”
Needless to say, tonight should be another spectacular night at the Vic with Screaming Females and The Dead Weather.
I know I can’t wait.
Who could take their eyes off of this?

I know, I can’t.

Last night was SO much fun. These last few nights in Chicago has been some of the best times in my life. I love my friends.
Not many photos to post, my DSLR lense spazzed out on me, so I am currently rocking toy cameras, disposables, polaroids, etc…
They probably won’t get scanned in until I head back home.

Finally got to witness the amazing JEFF the brotherhood live last evening at Ottoman Empire. It was totally bitchin.

I haven’t let loose like that at a show for a while. And I was with some of my favorite girls. Driving around listening to Madonna, Whole Foods, Mango Bubble Tea = recipe for a good time.
Hopefully more adventures will happen tomorrow.
Tonight I am going to see The Dead Weather play. Should be UH-MAZE-ING. Alison is my girl crush, in case you didn’t know.

I am in Chicago until tomorrow.
Pitchfork Day 3 today. I am pretty beat. Last night = very interesting, as has this whole weekend been. I mean that in the best way possible.
Some things I am convinced of from yesterday:
-Zach Condon needs to have my babies
-WAVVES fucking rule
-Matt & Kim are the cutest, most energetic band ever!
-Black Lips still know how to tear shit up. So many battles wounds from the show
-Yeasayer = UHHH-MAZE-ING
and there is probably more, but too lazy to continue listing.
More thorough updates later with pictures to accompany it.

Recently saw Deep Sea Diver live. They were pretty stellar. You should check out their EP “New Caves”, which is now available on iTunes.
“Pillars Of Fire” is definitely one of my favorites off the EP. So beautiful.
If you are in Chicago July 17, you should check them out with Those Darlins! I’ll be there for sureeeee.

I am definitely slacking on some legitimate updates on here. Things have been rather hectic with moving into the new house, school, work and maintaining somewhat of a “social” life.
If you are in Chicago this weekend, you should check out my dear friend of Old Lights play with the amazing Richard Swift at Schubas this Sunday!!
Richard Swift – “Lady Luck”
