I am pretty sure I played this song about a billion times driving around the desert back in April.
My friend Caitlin studded this entire outfit!
Can’t wait to see them on Wednesday!

This Sunday morning has been a rather lovely morning.
I am thinking it’s because I know it’s the last quite day I’ll have a for a bit. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I’d rather be too busy than not busy enough and feeling unproductive.
My friend B said the other day “remember, sleep IS important.”
My response, “I really don’t think my body understands that function called sleep, when I was programmed they left that out…”
This week is going to be hectic. One of the local Starbucks wants to hang my work, I need to stop by sometime this week and put the photos up. I started to pick up more hours at work because I need to pay for school, new photography equipment and my travels. I don’t know how I will swing this summer, but it will happen! Trying to find a second job is next to impossible, I should just be grateful for the one I have now.
Exactly one week from now I’ll be in ATL hanging out with some of the most lovely people ever. It almost makes me sad I will only be in town for 24 hours, but this is only the beginning of our adventures.
Now, back to some letter writing, mix CDs and care packages. I am going to try and send everything this week and cross my fingers that the postal service doesn’t screw me and lose half my packages.
I often wonder what happened that box I sent to my friend in France. I am sure some bald, middle age man is enjoying the contents of that package.

I love receiving mail from my friends.
Today I received a postcard from a friend who is currently on tour with Marnie Stern overseas.
It was the simplest thing, yet it totally made my day.
I am slightly behind on my letter writing, I need to get new ink for my typewriter, until then handwritten ones will do.

Cass Bird directed the video. Check her work here.

…an aviary for today.

I really need to start hunting down a bike for myself this summer. The next time I am in Lawrence when shops are actually open and I actually have money, I will do this.
I am currently listening to “Olympic Airways” by FOALS by about the 1,000th time. I can’t get enough of the video. I don’t care that this is probably my third time posting this:

Go to this!

Take photos and videos so I can live vicariously through you.
And then see Lightspeed play with Phoenix the next night with Amazing Baby and then see The Maccabees.
I would have to be moving THAT weekend. Lameeeeeeee.
I no longer feel like I am in retrograde!
After 5 months of really unfortunate events this year, I am finally moving forward and not back. For a while, I was heading in a path of complete self-destruction, purposely alienating people and just becoming someone that wasn’t me at all…now things are looking a little brighter. Although, I am still unsure of a lot of things like most people, I have figured out the following:
-where I am moving to after this move
-which schools I may possibly transfer to after I finish these two semesters here
-who my true, TRUE friends are
At the moment, those things are pretty much the most important things.
This summer is shaping up to the busiest summer of my life and also the most fun summer of my life. Full of interesting adventures with family and friends and I can’t wait.
Here is to more times like this:

late night/early morning waffle house adventures:

laying under the bean:

and reuniting with these girlsssss:

Next month, my friend and I are going to see Elvis Perkins In Dearland in Atlanta.
Excited.
